June 4, 2008 – FORT WAYNE, IN. During its annual meeting on June 18, 2008, the Heartland Chamber Chorale will present two scholarships, one each to the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and the IPFW Choral Music Program for an outstanding choral student. Founder and artistic director Robert Nance will present the awards. In addition to the financial award, recipients receive free passes to all HCC concerts during the 2008-09 season and will be formally recognized at one of these programs. The Heartland Chamber Chorale represents the best in choral music performance, serves as a proactive resource for choral music education, advocates for the choral arts, and is a catalyst for encouraging all citizens to bring song into their lives. Each season HCC supports the development of young singers in the Fort Wayne community through educational outreach programs, including its nationally recognized Side-by-Side program and the Annual HCC Scholarship Awards. |
