The HCC Headlines Concert to Commemorate
the Life & Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

January 9, 2008 – FORT WAYNE, IN. Celebrate Martin Luther King’s Life and Legacy on Sunday, January 20, 2008. Join the Heartland Chamber Chorale, Voices of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Hazemir Choir of Temple Achduth Vesholom and featuring guest soloist Carver Cossey (a native of Gary, Indiana).

Date: Sunday January 20, 2008
Place: Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1331 Gay Street, Fort Wayne.
Time: 4:00PM.
Admission: FREE.

This Martin Luther King Commemoration promises to be an uplifting, joyous event celebrating Dr. King’s life of service and legacy of hope. Our guest star Carver Cossey returns to Indiana from Los Angeles where he is a soloist in major West Coast Choruses, tours with Fred Waring, is an Emmy-winning recording artist, and directs church and civic choirs all over the world.

Heartland Chamber Chorale is now in its eleventh season as Northeastern Indiana’s professional chorus and community resource for choral music education. Our theme for this year is Heartland Sings, and sing we do for all audiences interested in hearing the best in choral chamber music. In appreciation for the community support granted to Heartland by Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne and the Indiana Arts Commission, HCC sponsors two free community concerts featuring area choirs and highlighting important events in history. We are proud to bring diverse groups together for this free gift to the community. Please join us on January 20, 2008 for Heartland’s special gift.
