Side by Side Students Gain Professional Experience

July 20, 2007 – FORT WAYNE, IN.
Heartland Chamber Chorale’s Side by Side students continued to develop their professional performances through participation in the HCC’s Summer Sampler Series in mid-July. These concerts – held on three consecutive evening beginning July 17 – included a wide range of repertoire. High school students Katherine DeRosa, Dylan Schatko, Leyla Mansour-Cole, and Brandon Knueve added to their list of paid engagements as they sang Side by Side with the professional singers of the Heartland Chamber Chorale. Selected by open audition, these students worked with the Chorale throughout the 2006-07 Ten Year Anniversary season. All of the young vocalists are fine examples of the quality of students being trained by high school music programs and local vocal teachers.

The Heartland Chamber Chorale is now auditioning vocal students to participate in the Side by Side program for the 2007-08 Concert Season.
