June 13, 2007 – FORT WAYNE, IN. The Heartland Chamber Chorale announces new scholarships for northeast Indiana choral students. On June 20, 2007 at 6:00pm, the Heartland Chamber Chorale will hold its annual meeting at Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Fort Wayne. The Board of Directors has designated the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and the IPFW Choral Ensembles as recipients of the scholarship program. The public is invited to the meeting. Call 260.436.8080 for additional information about the HCC’s opportunities and programs.

Area choruses receive contributions from Heartland Chamber Chorale. As part of the HCC Project Sing! initiative, a program designed to encourage community choral singing, Heartland Chamber Chorale’s 10th Anniversary Gala Concert featured many area choirs and provided these choirs an opportunity to raise money for their organizations. Each ticket purchased using a special voucher provided by each organization has resulted in a donation from Heartland Chamber Chorale to the participating chorus or charity.

Heartland Chamber Chorale is proud to partner with these organizations that supported the gala concert which showcased the many talents of area singers. The organizations receiving donations are: Fort Wayne Children’s Choir, Pilgrim Baptist Church, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Summit City Chorus, New Haven High School Chorus, and United Way of Allen County.
