October 05, 2006 - FORT WAYNE, IN. Three long-standing area vocal music professionals, a music therapy professional and an anesthesiologist will serve as panelists at two receptions preceding the season opening performances of the Heartland Chamber Chorale (HCC) on October 28 and 29. The HCC performances of its 10th Anniversary season opener, The Magic & Mind of Mozart, will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church in Panelists will explore the power of music and the creative endeavor on the mental, physical and emotional health of humans. Panel members are Helen Eshleman, retired teacher and arts patron; Dr. Barbara Resch, associate professor and director of music at IPFW; Nancy Johnson, director of music therapy, IPFW; Dr. Fred Allina, D.O. of the Pain Management and Anti-Aging Center of Fort Wayne; and Robert Nance, music and executive director of Heartland Chamber Chorale. The 7:00 p.m. reception on October 28 and 3:00 p.m. reception on October 29 will take place at Tickets for the dessert and coffee reception and pre-concert panel discussion are FREE for Member Supporters and $5.00 for non-members. Tickets to the reception must be purchased by October 27th; however, tickets to the concert are available up to the date of performance, and at the door. All seats are reserved; advance reservations insure the best available seating. Tickets are available by calling the HCC box office at 260-436-8080. |
