The HCC Announces Ten Year Anniversary Season
August 3, 2006 - FORT WAYNE, IN. The Heartland Chamber Chorale (HCC), under the direction of Robert Nance, begins its 10th Anniversary season later this month. The new season offers rich array of great choral entertainment from Northern Indiana’s only professional chorus. Each performance is dedicated to a musical theme, including the music of Mozart, and performance dedicated to love and lovers, songs devoted to Fort Wayne’s rich musical heritage, the music of Indiana’s own Cole Porter, and more.The HCC 2006-07 Season includes both a Subscription Series and a Recital Series.
The season culminates at the Embassy Centre in May, when HCC’s first decade of performances will be celebrated with music by the Chorale, its alumni singers, high school students, guest directors, and a host of singers from area community choruses.
Subscription Series features four concert programs: The Magic & Mind of Mozart, A Heartland Holiday, Choral Music in Fort Wayne, and the Tenth Anniversary Choral Gala Celebration at Fort Wayne’s historic Embassy Theatre.
Recital Series gets up close and personal with soloists and small ensembles: Let’s Make a Scene: Opera and Musical Theater Reprised and the Music of Cole Porter.
All Heartland Chamber Chorale performances (except for the Choral Gala Celebration0 are held at Plymouth Church, 501 West Berry, Fort Wayne (the corner of Berry and Ewing). The Choral Gala will be held at the Embassy Theatre. All seats are reserved.
